An Afternoon in Sanjeevaiah Park

When Vipul’s parents were visiting us in August,  we went to Sanjeevaiah Park – a beautiful park along the Hussainsagar lake. Flowers, ponds, lawns , benches and shade – the park has something for everyone.

Calming ponds to reflect the sky:

Large expanse of lawns to run on:

It was a lovely afternoon – Varun was running around, we were sitting in the shade and chatting…peaceful and relaxing. No wonder the park is a huge hit with joggers, lovers, young and old.

The park also has fairly clean restrooms – though no changing facilities. The prak itself is clean and well maintained. There are also play area for children with swings, slides etc. And some sort of flower clock that we were too lazy to walk over to.

The park reminds us of Stanley park in Vancouver – with its waterfront setting. But the similarity ends there. Nevertheless, we look forward to picnic in the park with friends and family 🙂
